Lord Randolph Sculthorpe has invited all and sundry to a grand event at the seldom visited seat of the Sculthorpe family. He has, according to his messages, made a great and valuable discovery in his archaelogical digs, one that he declares will vindicate his lifelong quest and change the fortunes of Otley-Penkridge.
It has been many years since most people have visited the Heights, and Lord Sculthorpe has not been seen in society since his rare appearance a few years ago at the Otley Assembly [the evening portion of the first game]. Since his wife disappeared nineteen years ago*, he had become obsessed with the archaelogical digs on his lands at the expense of his family reputation, relationship, tenants and some whisper, even his fortune. He has been considered 'touched' by polite society, and "utterly derange" by less polite society.
Has he truly discovered something? Or will those present be simply treated to the delusions of a man still trapped in nearly two decades of heartbreak?
