The first weekend game of the Wellington-based Wellspring campaign. This game is set in the same universe as 'Embers', which ran from 2016 to 2019. Knowledge of the previous campaign is not needed.
Welcome to Yardis, one of the great cities of the world! A famed hub of commerce, technology and excitement, where you can find just about anything (and take it home with you, if you can pay the asking price).
Our story begins during the Festival of Lights, a celebration that brings in visitors from all over the world. Some seek opportunities, some seek adventure or escape, and some meet amidst the chaos to strike a bargain or seal a deal. This year’s event is generously sponsored by Oasis Technologies, which is holding a gala to open the festivities - and to advertise its latest grand project. The Collegium will also have a presence, sharing its expertise for the public good and the chance of a donation or two.
Not everyone in Yardis is thrilled with the direction the city is headed in, however. The less prosperous have been grumbling of late, what with the influx of refugees from Namassis and the beginnings of protests around factory working conditions. It seems clear that times are changing, but whether that is for the better or the worse depends on your perspective.
