Our heroes had boldly entered the dangerous Ravnican forest district and liberated the Ikorian beast crystal from the inhabitants. Now, with the crystal powering their lux cannon they had an active defensive weapon which could guard the entrance of the Parhelion and prevent further intrusions to their home. The crystal was powerful, and effective, but had a much shorter range than when the cannon was powered by Halo. But war was just as much about managing resources as it was controlling territories. Something the Legends were acutely aware of.
Something else had drawn their attention too. A new player, the mysterious “A”, has developed five supreme beings, the Chancellors of Phyrexia, each representing one of the suns of New Phyrexia. These wicked creatures are the step below the Praetor Elesh Norn in the Phyrexian hierarchy. If the Legends had any chance of stopping the invasion, they would need to stop Elesh Norn. If they wanted to get to Elesh Norn, they would need to defeat her Chancellors.
These creatures were wreaking havoc through the front lines and were only getting stronger by the day. If the Legends were to stop the Phyrexian invasion, they would need to cut off the head of the snake - before they could wreak further havoc across the plane.
With the city in a perpetual state of uncertainty, many opportunities present themselves. Scientists gather to discuss their findings on the new interplanar threat, while guild leadership plans on how best to direct the fight against the Phyrexian hordes. Enemies, both Phyrexian and otherwise, move in the shadows, their intentions yet to be uncovered.
