Saga 2: Into the Wild
A Fantasy LARP inspired by Norse culture, based in Auckland, New Zealand
27 Jul 2018 – 29 Jul 2018
An ancient enemy has stirred. The Wylfings came through the misty night to ravage the Harbour of Hringr, their faces blazened with the Mark of Ice. Skyldingheim fell to destruction and cold, and only those who sheltered in the light of Elivigar were saved. That Longhouse that stood for generations upon the highest hill, has once again become a ship that carried the Skyldings away into the Mists. In the fair realm of Alfheim, blessed by Freyr and home to the Elves of Ljosalfar, the Skyldings landed on the doorsteps of the town of Skara.
After the sudden fall of Jarl Torunn Sivsdotter, a new leader has emerged to guide the Skyldings into their quest for home. Once a great warrior from humble beginning, Niklas Tainasson of Clan Ingjald has taken up the torc and mantle of Jarl in a decisive vote at the Thing.
The Skyldings now leave those fair lands, where old friends became new foes; where reunions were found, and alliances sworn; to quest further through the mists to the unknown. To the world of Vanaheimr - home of the old and forgotten gods, the Vanir.
