An NZLARPS affiliate is an organisation or business that has a mutually beneficial relationship with the society. Each relationship is tailor-made to suit both parties. Some typical examples of affiliates include independant larp groups, businesses that have something to offer to larpers and societies with members interested in larp.
Examples of what could be exchanged include discounts, promotional advertising, loans of equipment, web page hosting, gear building and storage, or helping with events.
1) Discuss it on the NZLARPS forum (external link)
This is an informal discussion of what your organisation and NZLARPS have to offer each other. This will help you find out what the larp community thinks of the idea, and what the committee members think. This step is optional.
2) Fill out the affiliate application form
Download and complete the Affiliate Application [DOC, 26 KB] form.
Right-click the link and select "Save As..." then save the form on your computer. Open the form and fill it in with your details. Contact the society President if have any questions or need help filling in the form.
3) Email your forms to the president@nzlarps.org
This is your formal request to become an affiliate. Attach the Affiliate Application form to your email.
4) Discuss your proposal at the next committee meeting
In Auckland Committee meetings are held once a month, contact your regional Director for details. We recommend going along and discussing your submission with the committee. The proposal will be approved or declined by a committee vote.
