Drama! Intrigue! Convoluted plot lines! Mistaken identities! Love! Murder! Mayhem! Betrayal! Unexpected survivals of normally fatal events! The Soap Opera larp is a lighthearted freeform game that delights in the melodramatic conventions that make soap operas so entertaining.
The freeform soap opera was written to be a game that needed little preparation and could be played over and over without repeating itself. It was meant to be a relaxing filler, but is as good a freeform game as the next one. It is a soap opera, and is thus inspired by the TV-format. Less common at the time this game was written, the gamemaster is replaced by an process that guides collaborative scenario creation.

The Soap Opera larp will run concurrently with the Friday night Horror larps for those who'd prefer to keep it lighthearted. Since there are no player limits, registration for this game is casual.
